April 11-12, 2001:
"Advanced Injection Molding Troubleshooting
& Simulation Seminar"
Instructor:
Torsten Kruse, Vice President
of Technology Paulson Training Programs Inc.
|
 |
This
seminar is the most in-depth course available in the injection
molding. Attendees will use SimTech 2001, Paulson's new
injection molding machine simulator to solve a variety of molding
problems just as they would occur on the production floor. Attendees
select the type of part and material, change runner, gate and
part dimensions then make any control changes that are available
on the standard injection molding machine. To assist in the
analysis, important information such as actual fill time, melt
temperature, cavity pressure and actual pressure graphics are
available. Each student proceeds at his or her own pace. Instructors
are always available to answer questions and assist.
Recommended for: Molders with
three or more years of shop floor experience. Also requires
knowledge of the processing behavior of several different
materials.
|
|
Attendees who successfully complete the course will receive
an achievement certificate from Paulson.

April 11-12, 2001:
"Plastics Extrusion: Analysis, Design
& Troubleshooting"
Instructor:
John Perdikoulias, Vice President
Compuplast
International Inc. |
 |
|
This seminar
will show attendees how to analyze, design and troubleshoot
all extrusion processes through a better understanding of the
behavior of the polymer within the equipment. Attendees will
learn:
- The reasons for the most common extrusion problems and
how to avoid them.
- How to evaluate or design screws and dies for mono and
coextrusion -- from blown film to profiles.
- How to compare and select materials to minimize problems.
|
|
Attendees will qualify for a special trial version of Compuplast's
new "Flow 2000 RheoCalculator" software to help them apply
the knowledge gained in the seminar in their own job.
